Jordan Toone is a member of Parr Brown’s Business and Finance Groups. Licensed in both New York and Utah, Mr. Toone focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, commercial finance and general corporate and business law. Mr. Toone also has experience in international business transactions.

Mr. Toone advises corporations, limited liability companies, private equity firms, investment funds and other business entities in matters involving mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, contract negotiation and review, corporate governance and general corporate and business matters in a variety of industries. Mr. Toone has broad experience advising borrowers and lenders, including commercial and investment banks, in commercial finance transactions, including secured and unsecured commercial loans, asset-based loans, acquisition financing, mezzanine financing, working capital lines of credit and related intercreditor matters. Mr. Toone also has experience assisting foreign and domestic stakeholders in international business transactions, including cross-border distribution arrangements and inbound and outbound foreign investment (FDI) matters.

Jordan is involved in various community and pro bono initiatives. Prior to joining Parr Brown, he practiced law as an associate at an international law firm in New York City. Before attending law school, Jordan worked as an embedded civilian social scientist with the U.S. Army’s 1st Armored Division in Iraq.

Mr. Toone received his B.A. with University Honors from Brigham Young University and his M.Phil. from the University of Oxford.  Jordan earned his J.D. with Highest Honors from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was a William H. Leary Scholar, a member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, a member of the Utah Law Review and a recipient of the Edwin Brown Firmage Student Award in International Law and Human Rights, and was awarded the CALI Award multiple times for obtaining the highest grade in a course as well as several Outstanding Achievement Awards for the best overall performance in a course.
