Parr Brown’s Real Estate Development team acted as Utah development legal counsel for Extell Development Company in the recently announced expansion of Deer Valley Resort. Extell’s strategic alliance with Alterra Mountain Company will add 3,700 acres of terrain to the resort, doubling current skiable territory across 10 mountains and eventually adding 16 new lifts and a new 10 passenger gondola. This new terrain will be immediately accessible to a newly constructed mountain village, which will be simultaneously developed by Extell as a part of the larger resort area and provide a wide variety of new housing and resort lodging opportunities. Attorneys Roger Henriksen, Robert McConnell, Matthew Jensen and Nicholas

The Salt Lake Tribune profiles the Mayflower Ski Resort, developed by Parr Brown client EX Utah Development (Extell), and its conservation preservation of 3,100-acres of land situated between Bonanza Flats and Wasatch Mountain State Park. Plans include a network of more than 50 miles of trail, as well as pockets of territory dedicated to protecting ecosystems and wildlife.
