Laura G. Kennedy Named President of Parr Brown Gee & Loveless

Parr Brown Gee & Loveless is pleased to announce that on April 1, 2024, Laura G. Kennedy became President of the Firm.

Ms. Kennedy is part of the firm’s litigation group, specializing in insurance coverage disputes, often representing sophisticated corporate clients in disputes with their insurance companies on issues related to insurance coverage and improper claims handling. In her specialized practice, she has represented clients from a variety of industries, including construction and transportation. Laura is particularly well-known for her innovative and detailed approach to disputes, which has led her to achieving favorable results and praise from her clients and colleagues. She has been recognized as one of Utah Business magazine’s Legal Elite for civil litigation, Best Lawyers 2024 for appellate and real estate litigation, and as one of Utah Business magazine’s 30 Women to Watch in 2024.

A top graduate of her class at the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University, Laura’s depth of knowledge and experience is in part due to the years she spent as a judicial law clerk for Utah’s state appellate and federal trial courts. The experience of working for different judges at trial and appellate courts has given her keen and invaluable insights into the judicial processes of Utah’s state and federal courts.

Within the Firm, Laura spends countless hours mentoring junior attorneys, with an open door willing to answer any questions or work through tough legal issues. She organized the Parr Brown Women Lawyers Group and held monthly meetings for all attorneys to attend and discuss a variety of topics. Through these efforts, she has encouraged participation and open dialogue, in particular creating a forum for discussion for junior women at the Firm.
