About Maxwell Milavetz

Maxwell Milavetz is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. Maxwell practices in the areas of commercial litigation, media & entertainment law, securities litigation, intellectual property, government open records, and government & regulatory affairs.

Maxwell received his J.D. from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of law, where he graduated with high honors. Maxwell served on the executive board of the Utah Law Review and received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his writing abilities. Maxwell also received a Pro Bono Honors Certificate for time spent volunteering with legal aid organizations. During law school, Maxwell worked as a teacher’s assistant for the first-year legal writing course and as a research assistant for several professors. In his second year, Maxwell completed a judicial externship for Justice Paige Petersen of the Utah Supreme Court.

Prior to law school, Maxwell attended Bates College, where he graduated with a dual degree in Classics and Philosophy. Maxwell captained the varsity rowing team and received All-Conference and Academic All-American rowing awards. Maxwell also completed a visiting semester at Oxford University’s Keble College & Middlebury College Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.

In his spare time, Maxwell enjoys rowing, cycling, climbing, and cross-country skiing.
