Sarah A. Childs

Sarah is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation and employment groups.

In her commercial litigation practice, Sarah focuses on a wide range of matters, including breaches of contract, class actions, misappropriation of intellectual property, and commercial torts. In her employment practice, Sarah focuses on employment defense, assisting both public and private employers in developing effective employment policies, procedures, handbooks, and contracts.

In 2022, Sarah earned her J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Sarah was a Managing Online Editor of the Washington and Lee Law Review and a Legal Writing Burks Scholar. In 2015, Sarah received her B.S. in Philosophy and a Minor in Mathematics from the University of Utah. In the summer of 2016, she attended the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universitat in Munich, Germany where she studied Mathematical Philosophy.

Prior to law school, Sarah spent eight years working at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute (formally the University Neuropsychiatric Institute) in multiple capacities, including as a psychiatric technician and as a member of the marketing & strategy and finance departments.

In her free time, Sarah loves reading Russian literature and practicing creative writing. She is also an avid chocolate chip cookie baker and nature enthusiast.
