Gregory Hess concentrates his practice on intellectual property law, including intellectual property identification and protection, licensing and transfer, and dispute resolution. He regularly assists clients with trademark evaluation, selection and registration and copyright-related matters. He also regularly assists clients with a wide variety of intellectual property agreements, including license agreements, technology agreements, Internet agreements, OEM, distribution and reseller agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, manufacturer and supply agreements, and transfer agreements, and other agreements.
Mr. Hess has extensive experience in copyright and trademark infringement litigation and settlement, having handled and successfully resolved many such disputes in courts across the nation and in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also has a broad range of experience with other types of commercial litigation.
Mr. Hess has been awarded an AV rating – the highest awarded by Martindale-Hubbell. He has frequently been listed in Utah Business magazine’s Utah’s Legal Elite in Intellectual Property Law. He has been included in the 2014-2023 editions of The Best Lawyers in America® for Copyright Law, and has also recognized by Mountain States Super Lawyers 2018-2021 for Intellectual Property Litigation.
