Ian McLaughlin is a member of the firm’s litigation practice group. He has experience with LLC memberships disputes, entertainment and trademark matters, securities litigation, and employment law.
Before joining Parr Brown, Ian clerked for Associate Chief Justice John A. Pearce of the Utah Supreme Court and Judge Ryan D. Tenney of the Utah Court of Appeals.
Ian graduated from Brigham Young University Law School in 2023. While there, he was active in moot court, winning Best Brief in the Rex E. Lee Competition and representing BYU on its national team. He also served as President of the American Constitution Society, earned the inaugural LGBTQ+ Advocacy Award from the Utah Center for Legal Inclusion, and worked on compliance and privacy issues for the BYU Archives.
Prior to law school, Ian earned a degree in History from Brigham Young University.
