Michael is a trial lawyer specializing in complex insurance coverage litigation. He has broad experience representing both companies and individuals in complex litigation matters in federal and state courts, arbitration, and mediation.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Wilde worked for a large international law firm representing national and international insurers in contested coverage disputes and bad-faith litigation. Mr. Wilde gained in-depth experience in many high-value and high-profile coverage disputes, including advising clients regarding insurance policies in connection with the Travis Scott Astroworld incident, advising clients regarding insurance obligations stemming from the Marriott data breach putative class action, advising clients regarding insurance obligations stemming from Experian FCRA putative class action, performing detailed analyses of business interruption claims in the millions of dollars, obtaining dismissal of $500 million COVID claim against property insurers, successfully defending client at trial in coverage dispute seeking more than $3 million in damages, representing clients in bad faith litigation seeking tens of millions of dollars in damages, and representing clients in bad faith litigation involving issues of insurance fraud.
Mr. Wilde now uses this knowledge and experience and to assist large corporations, small businesses, and individuals with insurance coverage and recovery from insurance companies in a variety of disputes, including those involving claims of construction defects, mismanagement, property damage, fraud, negligence, other torts, and contract disputes. He has extensive experience with Commercial General Liability (“CGL”), Employment Liability (“EPL”), Directors and Officers Liability (“D&O”), Professional Errors and Omissions Liability (E&O”), Property, Umbrella, Excess, Cyber, Crime, and other types of insurance policies.
Mr. Wilde has been consistently recognized as a top attorney in the areas of insurance coverage and commercial litigation. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in insurance coverage (Mountain States 2018, Southern California 2020-2022), a recognition awarded to no more than 2.5% of lawyers each year.
