About Skyler M. Tanner

Mr. Tanner is a member of Parr Brown’s Business and Finance, Real Estate, and Bankruptcy, Workouts and Creditors’ Rights groups. He counsels clients on loan and collateral structuring, workout, and bankruptcy issues. His work includes commercial and industrial loans, equipment and real estate financing, agricultural loans, and aircraft security interests.

Skyler has extensive experience negotiating and documenting secured financing transactions, including revolving credit, term credit and syndicated credit facilities for banks and other lenders. He also handles foreclosure and receivership matters on behalf of clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tanner worked for Lane Powell PC in the Pacific Northwest, and previously clerked for all three judges of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah.  Mr. Tanner is a member of the Utah, Oregon, Washington, and New York State Bars. He obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with emphasis in Entrepreneurship from Brigham Young University.

Skyler has been recognized as a Rising Star by Oregon Super Lawyers since 2015 for his creditors’ rights experience. He has also been recognized in the 2022 edition of Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite for his work in banking and financial.
