Parr Brown Gee & Loveless (www.parrbrown.com) today announced the hiring of Rachel Lassig Wertheimer as an associate lawyer in the commercial law firm.As part of Parr Brown’s litigation group, Wertheimer will join the firm’s celebrated, nationally recognized team of trial lawyers. She will represent companies and individuals involved in complex business disputes. She will prosecute and defend cases in state and federal courts as well as through alternative dispute resolution, where appropriate.“We noticed early on during her summer internships that Rachel has a tremendous strength of character and skillset,” said Heidi Leithead, Shareholder and President of Parr Brown. “She is a driven, knowledgeable attorney with a solid legal background. Her experience and qualifications make her an instant asset to the firm.”Wertheimer joins as a full-time associate with Parr Brown following three terms as a summer associate with the firm in 2009, 2010, and 2011 and receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law. While in Law School, she was a member of the Order of the Coif with Highest Honors, a William H. Leary Scholar, the Note and Comment Editor for the Utah Law Review, a member of the first place team in the Traynor Moot Court Finals in 2010 and a member of the National Moot Court Team in 2010-2011. She received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.Prior to Joining Parr Brown as an associate, Wertheimer worked as a law clerk for The Honorable Michael R. Murphy of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
