Parr Brown Gee & Loveless is pleased to announce that on April 1, 2025, Joseph M.R. Covey became President of the Firm.
As a leader in Parr Brown’s Bankruptcy, Workouts and Creditors’ Rights group, Mr. Covey regularly represents Chapter 11 corporate debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, bondholders, and unsecured creditors’ committees. He also represents large commercial lenders and secured bondholders in numerous multi-million-dollar commercial real estate workout, foreclosure, state receivership, and federal receivership matters. On behalf of lenders, borrowers and real estate developers, Mr. Covey also assists in structuring and documenting secured real estate lending transactions.
A top graduate of his class at the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University, Mr. Covey has served in various leadership roles throughout his career at Parr Brown, within the Firm’s management committees. He has been consistently recognized by The Best Lawyers in America®, Mountain States Super Lawyers, and Utah’s Legal Elite by Utah Business magazine.
